Quiet room, cheap hoodie, one long sip. The face does most of the work: half lidded, a little lost, that yellow question mark hanging off to the side. Then the tablet on the table shows the same character in a collar, flushed and messy. The joke is the gap between the two, and the painting is soft enough that it still feels like a real afternoon.
